Step by Step Supporting Independence LTD, is a CQC registered Domiciliary Care Agency, based in Dawlish, South Devon. We support service users with a variety of Disabilities with Domiciliary Care and community enabling.
Step by Step launched in 2002, when a residential home called Oak Park closed down. Janet Buckingham and Debbie Watkins who worked as managers at Oak Park, decided to continue supporting their existing service users in the local area. They secured housing for them in Dawlish, and established the Domiciliary Care agency. Since then our service user numbers have increased significantly. We currently have over 30 service users and over 50 staff members.
The high level of personalised service that we provide, and our focus on developing independence, has become well-known. This has resulted in a high number of referrals and new service users. We have also received consistently favourable inspection results and are acknowledged to be a ‘good ‘service by CQC (Commission for Social Care Inspection).
