Step by Step Supporting Independence Limited is a domiciliary care agency based in Dawlish, South Devon. We provide high quality support to people who need help to live within their own homes. Step by Step Supporting Independence LTD is registered as a domiciliary care service with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).

We make detailed assessments of all our service users before we provide support, and carefully plan the support according to the needs of the service user. Some of our service users have a lot of support and have a support worker with them for most or all of the day (and sleep-in support during the night), others may have a support worker for just a few hours a day at the times when they need it most. We also offer emergency ‘on-call’ support so further assistance can be called upon in an emergency. |

All our support is with the agreement of the service user, and is performed in a manner that is respectful to the individual and leads to the development of independent living skills. All of our service users have individualised independent living goals (which may be long or short term), and support plans show how we enable the achievement of these goals. |

As well as supporting with the development of skills within the home, we also support our service users to access community leisure facilities, such as the local swimming pool, and the local college. We also facilitate our service users to experience active social lives, supporting them to attend external social opportunities such as disco’s, youth clubs as well as events organised by Step by Step. |
